Phyllis P. Breedlove, 63, Indianapolis, IN passed away December 23, 2017.
She was born on October 16, 1954 to James and Mary Holtsclaw in Indianapolis, IN. She was married to Kenneth Wayne Breedlove for 31 years until his passing in 2007. Together they had 9 children.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who lived for her family. She anticipated and upheld every family tradition over the years and passed that on to her children and grandchildren. She anxiously awaited each spring because everyone would get together for a spring break trip and spend quality family time together. She loved “Black Friday” shopping, well shopping in general and never missed it until this year. She loved to listen to Loretta Lynn every chance she could. She had trouble walking anywhere she went until she went to the State Fair and then she walked everywhere. In the end she just wanted her children to raise their families and hang lots of pictures of her in remembrance.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Breedlove; son, Kenneth Wayne Breedlove Jr.; parents, James and Mary Holtsclaw; brothers, James Edward, Gordon Douglas and Larry Michael Holtsclaw; sister, Mary Frances Withem; and grandson, Cain Austin Johnson.
She is survived by daughters, Christina Noel Johnson, Pamela Rose Breedlove, Tonya Fern Johnson, Melinda Ann Langston (Michael), Kendra Dawnielle Breedlove, Lorena Frances Roy (Billy), and Alecia Renee Breedlove (Frank); son, Ryan Wayne Breedlove (Stephanie); twelve grandchildren, Dakota, Hailey, Dominique, Briana, Benjamin, Charlie, Jordan, Jeramiah, David, Jasmine, Korbin, and Ariel; and two great grandchildren, Gracie, Raelynn, and ones on the way; brothers, William Holtsclaw, Mark Holtsclaw and Rick Holtsclaw; sister, Sheri Flanagan; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care/Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250 on Friday, December 29, 2017 and then again from 8:00 a.m. ~ 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30th, 2017.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church 550 N. Rural St. Indianapolis, IN 46201. Burial to immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Indiana Funeral Care by calling 317-636-6464 or during the visitation to help with funeral arrangements.

We lost a grand and wonderful lady. Phyllis was my sister-in-law, but she was more like a close sister. We would talk for hours and I’m so glad I got to spend spring break with her and her children and grandchildren this past year. My grandson Tyler and I had so much fun. I have always loved just being around her because she has that kind of way about her. I will miss her so much.

MY FAMILY NEVER GOT TO MEET PHYLLIS IN PERSON BUT WE HEARD SO MANY WONDERFUL THINGS ABOUT HER. THINGS ABOUT HOW SHE CARED ABOUT SO MANY PEOPLE AND WOULD ALWAYS HELP ANYONE SHE COULD IF THEY NEEDED IT, BUT WHEN IT CAME TO FAMILY, THERE WAS NO LIMIT SHE WOULDN’T DO OR GO THROUGH TO HELP FAMILY. SO EVEN THOUGH SHE IS ON HER WAY TO HEAVEN YOU CAN REST ASSURED THAT SHE IS STILL WATCHING HER FAMILY AND KEEPING THEM STILL SO VERY CLOSE TO HER HEART AND IT TAKES A SPECIAL PERSON LIKE PHYLLIS WITH A SPECIAL HEART TO LOVE THE WAY SHE LOVED HER FAMILY. WE WILL ALL MISS YOU AND WE KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO A PLEASE THAT NEEDS YOUR LOVE THE WAY WE ALL DID HERE. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. LOVE SHERRY, CHARLES AND EMILY MAYS
